Your weekly round-up of news from around our wonderful Golden Apples Family nurseries is here!
GOLDEN WONDERS!
Golden Apples Directors Eve and Ray were delighted to hand over a special Stars of the Week award to the team at Head Start for all their amazing social media posts in 2022.
But that’s not all – because Maria Osborne at the Beacon was also presented with a Golden Apple Award for services above and beyond the call of duty.
Maria put on an amazing nativity play at Christmas, devoted her New Year weekend to setting up the new enlarged baby room and was committed to the Golden Apples cause all year – even when suffering with health issues.
Ray said: “I’m always so happy to see what the different nurseries are getting up to. Eve and I know how much effort all our teams put in and these awards are a small token of appreciation to recognise the efforts that have gone above and beyond.
“I can’t believe how hard you all work and how dedicated all the teams are – these awards are for those that have gone further than doing just their usual day job!”
WE’RE BACK – AND WE’RE BUSY!
The Cornerstone, Martlesham
What an amazing time we’ve been having back at nursery – for all the children across all the rooms, with lots of fun activities and some fantastic letter tracing and formation.
WHAT A WEEK!
Head Start, Ramsey
What an amazing week it’s been back at nursery for all the children – including garden fun, construction activities, talking about different shapes and colours and mark making with a range of tools and mixtures.
This is all great for fine motor skills, working small muscles in the fingers and wrists, hand-eye co-ordination, practising palmar and tripod grasps, communication and language skills.
GOLDEN RULES!
The Beacon, Rendlesham
The children had a discussion about our Golden Rules with the practitioners during circle time.
They then shared what they learnt with their peers. Well done everyone for listening and demonstrating what you learnt!
PARENTS OF OUR SCHOOL LEAVERS – WE’RE HERE TO HELP!
Bluebell, Eltisley
The Bluebell team are inviting parents to make an appointment to come in and discuss their queries and concerns regarding school starting and the development of their children.
Ranging from how we get them prepared and ready for school to how ready we feel your child is, you can book in a session and we can go through all of this with you.
Abigail and Sharon are in the Pre-School room and we are already prepping them for school.
Sharon is the designated school officer, which means she will speak to the school if needed, complete paperwork and hold meetings with parents upon request. Please speak to us to book in your session
